Riverhawks Move Up in National Rankings

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross-country team improved its national ranking by a spot in the latest NJCAA DIII National Coaches' poll, landing at No. 7.

Since their previous ranking, No. 8 as of September 14^th, AACC has recorded impressive results including Region XX Championship and Conference Championship titles. The Riverhawks had five runners place top ten for the Region Championship meet and had two runners earn 1^st Team All Region and 1^st Team All Conference honors.

"Rankings are nice, however the true rankings will be the standings at the national meet," head coach Jim Griffiths states. "I am very excited to see how they run at nationals. They have been training extremely hard, have been very focused, and are excited for the meet. If they can run the way that they have been training, I think we could surprise some people."

The Riverhawk women's cross country will look to continue their success as they compete at the NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championship held at Finger Lakes Community College of New York on Saturday November 12^th.
