DUNDALK, Md. — The Anne Arundel Community College baseball team pounded out 37 runs across two games Tuesday, sweeping CCBC Dundalk in a road Region 20 divisional doubleheader. The Riverhawks won the first game, 25-7, and took the nightcap, 12-3.
Game One: AACC 25, CCBC Dundalk 7
AACC erupted for 14 runs in the third inning and cruised to a 25–7 win in the opener. The Riverhawks finished with 14 hits and capitalized on eight Dundalk errors.
AJ Cozzone led the offense, going 3-for-5 with seven RBIs, including a three‑run homer and a double. Aidan Graham added three hits and five RBIs, and Matt Dove drove in three, including a pinch‑hit double.
AACC cycled through four pitchers; Andrew Darrow earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief, and Dominic Wilder struck out four over three shutout frames to record the save. Dundalk issued 12 walks and needed three pitchers to get through the third inning alone.
Game Two: AACC 12, CCBC Dundalk 3
AACC scored six runs in the first inning on a Ryan Jones two‑run double and a grand slam from Zach Davidson. Davidson finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs, while Camden Hodges homered for the second straight game and scored three runs.
Right‑hander Evan Birch earned the win, striking out five in 4.2 innings without allowing an earned run. Rex Landis struck out the side in the seventh to close it out.
Dundalk managed eight hits, but left seven runners on base. AACC stole five bases, and Birch recorded three pickoffs.
AACC is back in action at home on Thursday, facing the Lions in a 3 p.m. single nine-inning game at Skip Brown Field.
