YORK, Pa. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team erupted for 53 points in the second half but could not erase a 23‑point deficit in a 90–81 loss at Penn State York on Monday night.
AACC trailed 45–28 at halftime and fell behind 53–30 with 16:47 remaining before mounting its comeback. The Riverhawks outscored York 51–37 the rest of the way, cutting the margin to single digits in the closing minute.
Ryan Stacy led the Riverhawks with a season high-tying 27 points on 12‑of‑25 shooting and added seven assists and five rebounds in 39 minutes. Al‑Ameen Sanni posted a 20‑point, 12‑rebound double‑double – his 10th of the season- including 14 points in the first half. Jaylen Marbley finished with 18 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals while shooting 7-of-11 from the field.
The Riverhawks (3–13) shot 39.5% from the floor and recorded 23 assists to just seven turnovers. AACC made only two 3‑pointers but went 15-of-21 from the free throw line.
AACC returns to Region 20 divisional action Wednesday in a 7 p.m. game at the College of Southern Maryland.
