Ryan Brophy Named Region 20 Golfer of the Month
Sophomore was top medalist three times in April
ARNOLD, Md. – AACC sophomore golfer Ryan Brophy has been named the NJCAA Region 20 Golf Athlete of the Month for matches in April, 2024. Brophy earned top medalist honors in three matches in April, including at the Maryland JUCO and Region 20 Division II Championships.
In his first match of the month, he tied for first in a rain-shortened, nine-hole event at South River. Two days later, he finished as runner up at Carroll. The following week, he finished one under to win the MDJUCO title, and was the Region 20 medalist at one-over the next day. At the Southeast District Championships, Brophy carded a two-under on both the second and third days to finish eighth overall earning All-District honors and an invite to the NJCAA DII National Championships.
Brophy is set to compete at the NJCAA Division II Golf Championships May 21-24, at the Twin Hills Golf & Country Club in Joplin, Mo.
