GLEN ELLYN, Ill. — The Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team got a strong offensive performance from several key players but couldn't keep pace with RV College of DuPage in a 22‑10 loss Saturday afternoon.
Aaron Herdt and David Law each scored four goals and added two assists to lead the Riverhawks, who scored three man-up goals in the game. Brock Cutler, Evan Davidson and Herdt all scored during a four-goal third-quarter surge that briefly trimmed the deficit as AACC showed resilience after falling behind early.
College of DuPage seized control in the opening quarter, building a 6‑2 lead behind an aggressive offense and capitalizing on extra-man opportunities. The Chaparrals extended the margin to 9‑3 by halftime and outscored Anne Arundel 13‑7 over the final two quarters.
James Kavney won 13 of 23 faceoffs and collected 11 ground balls, while Jake Howard caused six turnovers on defense. Goalkeeper Ian Roberts made 15 saves.
Anne Arundel fell to 4‑6 on the season, while College of DuPage improved to 4‑3.
