Ken Wolf Inducted in NJCAA Men's Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame
Former AACC coach served men's soccer program for more than five decades
ARNOLD, MD -- Longtime Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer coach Ken Wolf has been inducted into the NJCAA Men's Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Wolf and two other inductees were honored at the 2025 NJCAA Men's Soccer Championships banquet on November 15.
Wolf served as the Men's Soccer Head Coach at Anne Arundel Community College for 33 seasons. After leading the program for over three decades, he then continued on as an assistant coach for another 18. While at the helm of the program, AACC won two MDJUCO Championships in 1983 and 1984, and made two NJCAA Division III national tournament appearances in 1995 and 2005.
"Coach Wolf's impact to AACC men's soccer and the college is immeasurable," said Athletic Director Duane Herr '07. "With a career that spanned five decades, Coach Wolf taught, coached, and mentored our students with a calm and steady demeanor through thousands of practices, hundreds of games, and several national tournament contests. Known for his position on the bench, perched up on the top of the sideline fence, he was constantly evaluating the game, calling out positive decisions or offering words of encouragement. He is so incredibly deserving of Hall of Fame recognition and I'm tremendously grateful for all of his contributions."
During his 33 seasons leading the program, Wolf coached 11 NJCAA All-Americans, six NSCAA All-Americans, and tallied over 300 wins. The success of the program continued with him serving as an assistant, with two more NJCAA tournament appearances, and coaching nine more NJCAA All-America honorees.
In addition to his decorated career on the touchline, Wolf was awarded the AACC Bruce Springer Award for dedication and exemplary service to Anne Arundel in 2019. He was also a 2025 recipient of the inaugural NJCAA Coaches Legacy Award.
Coach Wolf's impact is known for going beyond the playing field, as he served more than 10 years as chairman of the NJCAA Region XX Soccer Coaches Association and a member of the All-American selection committee. Coach Wolf's coaching tree extends far, as his mentorship has been described as shaping the lives of many young men who have competed for Anne Arundel.
"There is no better role model than Ken. More important than his success on the field, it is his legacy off the field that made a huge impact in the lives of so many," said former AACC Men's Soccer Coach Nick Cosentino. "Ken taught plenty about the game of soccer. From how to design a training session, managing players, to handling the administrative duties and realizing the special responsibility we as coaches have on young people… The special connection he had and continues to have with his players is something that all coaches should envy."
