Miga Named Region 20 Player of the Month
Sophomore forward totaled 40 points in August & September
ARNOLD, Md. - AACC women's soccer student-athlete Emma Miga has been named the Region 20 DII Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Month for games in August and September, 2025.
Miga totaled 40 points on 17 goals and six assists in the first 10 games of the season for Anne Arundel. She recorded three hat tricks and scored a pair of game-winning goals – first in a rematch of last year's District Championship at Mercer County on September 6, then against Hagerstown via penalty kick on September 25. Miga tallied at least one point in nine games and closed out the month on an eight-game scoring streak which included six multi-goal games.
Headed into the final stretch of the regular season, Miga ranks second in NJCAA Division II with 50 points, and is tied for third nationally in goals scored with 20. This season the forward has already eclipsed her freshman year point total of 45, amassed on 16 goals and 13 assists in 13 games played.
AACC (9-4) hosts CCBC Catonsville for a Region 20 divisional game at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 16 at Siegert Field. The Riverhawks then close out the regular season at Prince Georges (Oct. 18) and Allegany (Oct. 21).
