Sophomore forward adds to postseason accolades
ARNOLD, Md. – Anne Arundel Community College sophomore forward Emma Miga has been named to the NJCAA DII Women's Soccer All-America Second Team, it was announced Tuesday.
Miga is a two-time All-Region 20 first team selection and finished the 2025 season leading Region 20 and ranking second in all of NJCAA DII in points (74) and goals (31).
"Emma is extremely deserving of this honor and the recognition that comes with it," said Head Women's Soccer Coach Jim Griffiths. "Her accomplishments on the field have been one of the main reasons for our success over the past two seasons and I cannot say enough about what she has meant to our program."
Miga recorded four hat tricks and 11 multi-goal games, scoring in 16 of the Riverhawks' 20 games on the season. Her 12 assists were the most in Region 20. Miga recorded her 100th career point in the Riverhawks' regular season finale on October 16, and was also named to the Region 20 All-Tournament Team.
The 49th NJCAA Women's Soccer All-American in AACC history, Miga is the fourth honoree since Griffiths rejoined the program as head coach in 2022.
After repeating as the Region 20 champions AACC closed out the season as the NJCAA DII East District Runner Up. With a 15-5 record, the Riverhawks recorded back-to-back double-digit win seasons for the first time since 2012.
